Current Projects

  1. Tsetse fly control - so far 275 tsetse traps have been deployed and another 116 have been made for a new deployment and replacement of the old ones.
  2. Livestock breed improvement: a) 41 gala bucks have been distributed to 41 villages, one in each village to improve our local goats. b) 27 does have been issued to tsetse trap monitors as motivation and as well as for establishment of pure gala line. c) 6 dope sheep have been issued as pilot project for dope breed establishment.
  3. Animal health management - we have around 40 trained animal health workers who are assisting the community on animal health mangement.
  4. Seed bank establishment for seed security.

For the MDI Community Based Organisation to address the community need practice and documentation the following office equipment are essential:
A computer Ksh 60,000
A printer Ksh 40,000
A photocopier Ksh 120,000
